I wonder if it is because a darker color was used on the edge. I have had problems with Color Alive (a previous interactive app) scanning when dark colors are used. I also could not figure out how to use the video feature on the app. We pressed the button, but the timer never when off to record. Also I do not know if the outer box was needed or the extra crayons.
