Crayola Silly Scents Stinky and Sweet Marker Activity Kits: What's Inside the Box

Overview and Review
When I heard about the Silly Scents Marker Activity Kits earlier this year I immediately wanted them. They each contain 8 "Sweet" scents and 8 "Stinky" scents. The Stinky scents can not be found anywhere else. Some of the stinky scents are really bad like; smoke, dead rose, mud, barn, rotten fruit, and dirty potatoes. Some of them smelled so bad i had to put the cap on right away. Some of the stinky scents are not so bad like: pizza, cheese, grass, garlic, pickle and onion. Once the scents are all on the page they kind of mix together and do not smell as bad.

My kids and I loved using this kit. It comes with funny coloring books and cards. They colored lots of fun things. There is a great color variety in both kits. They have asked to use them lots of times even though it was my Christmas present :)

Crayola Color Wonder, On The Go Coloring: What's Inside the Box and Review

I was so excited to receive the Crayola Color Wonder On-The-Go coloring sets from Crayola. I was going buy at Target, but held off and the next day I found out we were getting them to review.  My kids especially love the PJ Masks and Paw Patrol sets.  A couple of years ago my kids started watching the Disney Channel show PJ Masks and there were no toys at all for the show.  My kids and I love the show because it has both boys and girls that turn into pajama clad superheroes at night with their magical bracelets.  We found some PJ Mask's pajamas for their Halloween costumes and bracelets for Christmas.  Now they get to color their favorite superheroes in a REAL coloring book! They are excited.  I can not tell you how many "coloring pages" (ones I made from images from the internet before there were books) I printed for them to color for PJ masks. There are also PJ Masks giant coloring pages, coloring books with stickers and activity books.


What's in the box and how does it work?
The Color Wonder Color-On-The Go sets come in 4 themed sets; Paw Patrol, Disney Princess, PJ Masks, and Shimmer and Shine.  The sets are very well put together and include 3 themed markers  each.  All of the markers are interchangeable.  How does the Color Wonder work?  The marker only colors on the specialized paper, because the paper contains chemicals that react with the marker ink.  Read more about the patent information here. What is really cool about this set is it has negative space areas which is used to hide fun patterns, outlines of buildings, background objects, and masks on the PJ Masks outfits. Review
What did my kids think?  To say they loved them is an understatement.  My son carried his, he claimed the Paw Patrol around the house and colored all the pages.  He mostly scribbled on them and colored really quickly, but he loved it. My daughter loved the PJ mask one, and has almost colored all the pages in her set.  She loved finding the hidden objects in the pictures.

What did I think?  I think these are really cool and would be idea for taking to the doctor's office or a long card ride, two things we do often enough.  And would be a much better alternative than a screen.  I love that the booklets can be opened and closed and there is space for the markers inside.  This way the markers will not end up all over the car and the doctor's office. This happens a lot with other marker packages that can not be closed up when they are open. I love that they are mess free and only color on the paper.  My son was confused the other day when he was coloring with them and accidentally "colored" on his blanket.  I had to reassure him that the blanket was not dirty because the marker did not leave a mark on his blanket.

How could it be even better? I would love refills for these books.  My kids colored through the pages pretty quickly. I would also maybe like to see a few more colors per set.  They are interchangeable, but my daughter only wanted to use the ones that came in the set.

Crayola Xtreme Coloring Metallic Markers and Coloring Pages: What's Inside the Box

I first saw the Crayola Xtreme Frozen Coloring Metallic set at Walmart and picked it up right away. The set contains 10 coloring pages and 4 markers. We love Frozen in our house and this looked like it would be so much fun.  It is so different from other coloring because the pages are dark and sparkle when colored.

Crayola Valentine's Collection: What's Inside the Box

I first saw the Crayola Valentine's line from a fellow crayon collector.  They came out in 2015. The line consists of crayons, stamper markers, and washable Glitter Glue. I was super excited when I saw someone had purchased them at Target this year.  I went to the nearest Target I could find and they were all there in a display in the seasonal section.  There were also My Color Is, Red, Pink and Purple markers in the display.  I can not find them anywhere now so I am super excited I picked up a box.  I picked up a box for my daughter too and she is super excited to use them.

Crayola Star Wars Millennium Falcon Art Kit: What's Inside the Kit

Crayola and Star Wars came out with a bunch of crayons and art sets to welcome the new movie, The Force Awakens.  I picked up everything I could find because I am a major fan of Star Wars, I have been since I was a little girl.  I found this Crayola Millennium Art Kit at Target.  There are a bunch of coloring pages inside and origami directions to make the Millennium Falcon.  I copied it on my printer and made a couple. The pages are very nice also.  I am a little disappointed there were not any from the new movie, but they released the Art Kit before the movie was released so I can see why.  I hope they come out with another or some updated pages because Rey is my favorite!

65 Piece Crayola Pencils set with Graphite Pencils: What's Inside the Box

Crayola does not typically sell graphite pencils.  When I saw this 65 Piece Crayola Pencils Design and Sketch set with the graphite pencils, I knew I had to have it.  There are 25 colored pencils and 21 unique pencils.  The set includes some instructions on how to draw and blank pages. I would love to use these pencils, but I want to keep them in mint condition, ah the problems of a collector.  We will see which side wins out.

The one thing I do not like about this set is the packaging, the cool packaging is plastic and can not be put back on once the set has been opened, bad news for a collector.  The case seems like nice enough, why can't they adhere a sticker to the front and the back with the packaging information and tape the tabs to make sure people do not get in it, or enclose the set in clear plastic.  I opened it, but I have not figured out yet how I am going to keep the plastic with the set, either let it be loose or glue it on somehow which I wish had been done in the first place.

As a bonus I have used the pencil sharpener and love it.  It sharpens pencils very nicely.

Crayola Meltdown Crayons Art Set: What's Inside the Box

In 2012 Crayola produced the Meltdown crayon series and released the crayons at Walmart.  I heard about them, but never found them in stores. I later found them online, but did not want to pay 5-6 dollars a box plus shipping.  I was ecstatic to find that JoAnn Fabrics was selling them this year online and on sale. Double bonus.  I ordered them all.  I also found this Meltdown Art Set box at Michaels.  It only includes 2 unique boxes even though it says 24 crayons.  The art set box is the same as a 120 crayon box.  I took the paint out and put all 12 Meltdown boxes inside.  I love that they can all be together in this very unique looking box.  I put pictures of all the sides just because I was so impressed with the box design.  I can not wait to do some meltdown art with the canvases.  I will not be using the crayons that came with it, but will probably pick up a 96 count box, find the colors from the boxes and do some art that way.  Look for this art project later this year after I get all my collection put up on here :)

Crayola Style Numbers and Code Numbers

I'm very excited to present this list! It is something I have been working on for months and can not be found anywhere on the interwebs.
