24 Crayola Colors of the World Colored Pencils

Crayola came out with Colors of the World Crayons in July 2020. They worked with Victor Casale for  to develop the crayons. At this time I asked them if there would be Colors of the World markers and colored pencils. They said yes. And guess what? I found them! The colored pencils colors are the same colors as the crayons and are representative of many skin tones. I have a feeling these colored pencils are going to be a hit. There are so much more possibilities for colored pencils than markers and crayons, shading, blending etc. They will be a big hit and most likely sell out. They will also be great for kids.

24 Crayola Colors of the World Markers Review and Swatches

Crayola came out with Colors of the World Crayons in July 2020. They worked with Victor Casale for  to develop the crayons. At this time I asked them if there would be Colors of the World markers and colored pencils. They said yes. And guess what? I found them! The marker colors are the same colors as the crayons and are representative of many skin tones. I think Crayola should expand them to Super Tips next. But for now adult colorists can pick up a box of these to color with. These will also be great for kids. I picked up a box for my kids to use.

It took me a while to find these markers. I preordered them from Amazon on October 8th. Amazon is usually amazing with preorders. The day came they were supposed to come, December 23 and they had not been shipped yet. I was super disappointed. My local Walmart had them "in stock". I went to check there, but sadly no one could find them and they were not out. I ordered them (and a lot of other supplies to get free shipping) on Blick Art Supplies thinking I would get them. I got a shipping confirmation for my order and sadly they were not in there. Blick said they wouldn't get the markers in stock until the end of January. :( I then went to Crayola.com and ordered them there. They are supposed to get here tomorrow. I was super anxious to get them though and decided to check the other Walmart in my area and they had them! I was super happy and now I can post them. For right now check Walmart and Crayola.com to get them.

How Did It Come To Be?
Crayola worked with Victor Casale, formerly Chief Chemist and Managing Director, R&D of MAC cosmetics and Cofounder and Chief Innovation Officer of Cover FX and currently CEO of MOB Beauty. He worked with Crayola for more than eight months to develop these crayons. Casale says, “Growing up, I remember mixing the pink and dark brown crayons to try and make my shade, so I was thrilled when Crayola asked for my help to create the Colors of the World crayons.”
What's In the Box
There are two boxes, one contains 24 crayons. The other box contains 32 crayons, the 24 crayons from the other box and 8 hair and eye colors. The side panels serve as color references. Each crayon is wrapped in a gradient skin tone label. For now the 32 count crayon pack will be sold exclusively at Walmart and will include four hair and four eye color crayons. The 24 count will be available on Crayola.com. Here are all the colors. They come in 3 undertones;  almond, rose and golden.

What did I think?
I am super impressed with these new crayons and think it is a great addition to the Crayola line of colors. I know I have had problems in the past coloring skin tones and this will help tremendously.

I am also excited because next year Crayola will release colored pencils and markers in the Colors of the World line. Colored Pencils are my favorite to color people with. There is also a 168 count Crayon Tub that will be released exclusively at Walmart featuring Colors of the World later this year. It is one of the biggest crayon boxes with unique crayon names. There is a 200 count box available but that one has repeat colors.

Crayola Multicultural Colored Pencils and Markers: What's Inside the Box

Crayola introduced the Multicultural line in 1990.  On their website it says, "Crayola introduced Multicultural Crayons in response to feedback received from consumers and educators. The colors were chosen from our standard selection, and represent skin tones of the world. Black and white are included for blending other color."  Most of these are standard colors, but it is amazing that Crayola put the colors in a unique box.  There are also paints, crayons, model magic and markers in this series.

I bought the Ultra-Clean Washable markers at the Crayola store.  I had held of off on buying them because they were a little pricier than the other Ultra-Clean markers.  Crayola has been making the multicultural line for years.  I know have the crayons, colored pencils and markers.
