Sharpie Pocket and Tank Highlighters: Fluorescent and Pastel

In 2022 Sharpie came out with some new highlighter colors, the pastel colors and new packaging for the existing fluorescent markers. There are now 18 total highlighter colors in all for the Sharpie highlighter line up. I personally love yellow, it is my go to highlighter color, but am excited for all the new colors. They even named all of them.

2022 Sharpie Brush Twin Markers 12 count

I first saw the Sharpie Brush twin at Creativation Art Materials in 2022. At that time there was a possibility of 24 brush markers from Sharpie. I was more excited about this than I was about the fact they had the ultra fine tip on the bottom which is also pretty cool too. How it works with stores is companies will pitch ideas and stores will pick them up. I do not think any stores picked them up because they are not for sale. They did appear on Amazon for a time, but there is no inventory. Here is crossing my fingers the 24 pack shows up sometime.

That aside the Brush Twin Sharpie markers are really cool They can product 3 different size lines and are great for coloring and lettering work. They include a brush tip and an ultra fine point tip. No more searching for markers. What is also really great is the ultra fine point is on the marker and the color matches the brush tip.  Sharpie does not label their markers, and this could be a tricky task otherwise. Sharpie has some other Brush Tips I will post about, but these markers are different in design. They have a thicker barrel and the tip is slightly different. I colored with them and they were much faster to use than the regular Sharpie fine point. I know my kids would like these more too. Here is the box.

This box of Sharpies was sent as a sample from Sharpie. This blog post contains affiliate links.

Sharpie Portrait 12 Markers

I have some very exciting news today! Sharpie has come out with Portrait Colors markers in 2022. Ohuhu came out with a portrait set this year and Crayola came out with Colors of the World a few years ago. The Sharpie Portrait colors set contains 12 shades of markers to represent various skin tones. Many Sharpie fans have been waiting for years for skin tone markers. These will help artists be able to represent skin tone colors in their drawing so much easier. These colors also make Sharpie better able to compete with Ohuhu lines and Copic lines of markers. Now if all their markers were made in brush.

This box of Sharpies was sent as a sample from Sharpie. This blog post contains affiliate links.

Here are the colors of the Portrait color Sharpies: Americano, Marzipan, Classic Brown, Butterscotch, Salted Caramel, Dark Chocolate, Cinnamon Latte, Creme Brulee, Toasted Gingerbread, Peanut Brittle, Black Forest Gateau and Dulce De Leche. This is the order the colors come in the packaging. Make sure to label them before taking them out! This makes the total color count of Sharpie markers 87 now!

I decided to color a Manga page because now I could color skin tones! And yes I know some the colors are outside the lines, need to practice more. I used the Portrait markers and the brush markers.

Here are all the colors arranged in color order from light to dark.

Sharpie 36 S-Note Creative Marker

Earlier this year 2021 I wrote a post about the 24 S-Note Markers from Sharpie. At that time I knew there were 12 new colors coming, but it was not out yet. It is finally out and I am so happy that I got my hands on a box. I found mine on Amazon. They may be available other places later. What is so special about these new colors? The new colors are a lot lighter than the previous colors. That was one of the biggest criticism I saw of the other set of markers. Now there is a super broad palette of markers.

65 Sharpie Markers The Ultimate Collection Swatches and Review

As you may know I am somewhat of a Sharpie Nerd. Last year I made it my mission to find out every Sharpie color out there. Since then I have identified 76 unique colors including the neon, metallic and core colors. The neon and metallic Sharpies are made with different ink types. This year I attended Creativation and I was SUPER excited to meet with Newell brands, ie they are the company that makes Sharpie, Prismacolor, Elmer's, Paper Mate products etc. At Creativation I learned that Sharpie would be releasing a 65 count Fine Line Marker with all the Core Colors, i.e. the ones that have the alcohol as an ink base.

Alcohol based markers can be used in so many ways! The colors can be blended by touching the tips and blending on the paper. They can also be used to make gradients. Now with all the colors this box of Sharpies will be so versatile for so many artists.

This blog post contains affiliate links and was sent in exchange for an honest review.

Click here to find at Blick Art Supplies.

And I am so lucky that I finally got my hands on this box. As soon as I got this box I put away every marker from my makeshift Ultimate Collection box back where they belonged and am now displaying this one.

Here are all the colors in the box.

Color Information

Boxes: Sharpie Ultimate Collection 65 Core Colors
What's inside the box:

  • The colors for the Sharpie 65 Ultimate Collection box with all the core colors are:  valley girl violet, ultra violet, boysenberry, magenta, power pink, electric pink, berry, rocket fuel red, jellie pink, pink, jupiter red, solar flare red, red, racey red, pink lemonade, peach, orion orange, optic orange, leg warmer orange, tangerine, banana clip yellow, yellow, almond, supersonic yellow, martian green, venus green, lime, galaxy green, green, mint, argyle green, aqua, jetset jade, nano blue, turquoise, blue ice, neon blue, brilliant blue, surf, techno blue, blue, navy, sky, intergalactic indigo, purple, lilac, brown, black, dark matter gray, slate gray, celestial gray, purple fluorite, tanzanite, peacock blue, teal tiger's eye, jasper green, amber, cabochon coral, rose quartz, citrine, aquamarine, geode, violet chalcedony, light blue topaz, and lavender mica.

What Did I Think?

This box is truly amazing! The packaging is not quite as nice at the other Ultimate Collection boxes, but the price point is right on. It is going for around $51 on Blick Art Supplies. I guess if they did the same box as the other Ultimate Collection boxes the colors would not be able to be displayed the same. I am so excited to display the colors like this and am going to keep it in this color order because it is so pretty.

The one thing I did wish they had done is put the names of the colors on the markers. I feel like this would take the Sharpies to a whole new level. The people using Fine Tip Sharpies and wanting every color will probably be artists. And artists like to know the name of the color of the marker. I hope this box sells really well, that Sharpie comes out with more and more marker colors especially brown tones. I would love to see a skin tone set at some point. This is my favorite box of Sharpie Markers to date. I also hope they come out with a Ultra Fine Ultimate Collection box also.

This box is also a great deal for getting all the Sharpies. Before this multiple sets would have to be acquired costing over $130 depending on which sets were bought. (I spent more than that.) There would be duplicate markers from some of the sets from having to buy so many different sets. And it was hard to store them all in one place. This set is great because it offers all the colors in one place.

Collecting Information

This is the first time that Sharpie has EVER released every single marker in one set. It is definitely collectible.

How to Get Every Sharpie Marker Color

Do want to get every Sharpie marker color out there? I have been searching for months for just that.  I have complied this list complete list of Sharpie marker colors and what box they all come in. What did I learn? The color surf and sky blue are extremely rare. I also learned after all my searching that Sharpie needs to release a box with all of their colors in it with the names on the markers. It is so painful, expensive and frustrating having to look for each color. But I have done it and hopefully it will help make it less painful for you.

Check out this post to see all the hex colors and what each box colors look like.

This blog post contains affiliate links.

The best way to get every color would be to pick up the 115 Ultimate Collection, Metallic pack, Mystic Gems 24, Color Burst 24 and Cosmic Color 24. There are some specialty packs that contain some rare colors, but these are only available for a short time and not consistent. If one of those is picked up use this chart to see what is still needed.

The chart along with a swatch chart can be downloaded here.

Click here to get swatch charts for all the Sharpie Markers.

This is the swatch chart that comes with this list. Once this is filled out you will have every Sharpie color out there!  I decided not to pick up the sky blue color because I have a stinking suspicion it is the same as sky. But I could be wrong.

Good luck finding them all!

Sharpie 24 S-Note Creative Marker

If you have followed me at all you know that I love Sharpie markers. Sharpie has been making their markers for a number of years and have branched out from the alcohol marker line over the years. This branch off is the Sharpie S-Note Creative Marker. What does it compare to? It can be compared to Zebra Mildliner and Crayola Super Tips.

I heard about these at Creativation/Art Marterials World this year and had to pick them up! They are so pretty. I also have the Mildliners and did the swatch charts at the same time. If I was going to get one I would get the Mildliners because I felt the ink came out a little easier, aka not as dry as the S-Note, but these colors are super pretty.

Click here to find the markers on Blick.   The paper I used is Hahnemuhle Nostalgie white paper and DCWV cardstock. Click here to find the paper I used on Blick.

Another advantage to the Mildliners over the Sharpie S-Notes are the Mildliners have the color names on them. There are names for the S-Notes. I found them by going on Sharpie.com and clicking on all the S-Note colors. I was able to match up all the names and now there is a chart here for reference. The Mildliner has two tips, the Sharpie S-Note has one, but honestly this was not a deal breaker for me because both are chisel tip and it is super easy to write thin lines by turning the marker point. The Mildliners also have one more color.

The colors for the Sharpie S-Note creative markers are: gray, light gray, plum, raspberry, orchid, brick red, guava, papaya, cinnamon, mango, honey, salted caramel, lemonade, olive, pear, limeade, sea green, jade, surf's up, scuba blue, perwinkle, indigo, lavender, and grape.

Complete List of Sharpie Marker Colors, Fine and Ultra Fine

Do you want to know ALL THE SHARPIE Fine and Ultra Fine COLORS? I have found 76 unique current Sharpie colors, 24 retired for a total of 100 color names.  This post is long overdue! But the reason it is long overdue is because it has taken me a while to figure out all the Sharpie colors. Why? It is because there is not one box of Sharpies that has all the colors, the color names are not on the markers and the color names are not always listed on the packaging. What I have had to do to find all these colors is buy the packs that have the names on the sides and find out from there what the colors are.

There are some retired colors from past boxes, but I cannot get ahold of them and people cannot buy them. If they are rereleased, I will add them to the list.

This blog post contains affiliate links.

Click here to get this chart and a swatch chart!

Click here to get swatch charts for all the Sharpie Markers.

The current Sharpie marker colors are: valley girl violet, ultra violet, boysenberry, magenta, power pink, electric pink, berry, rocket fuel red, jellie pink, neon pink, ruby, pink, jupiter red, solar flare red, red, racey red, pink lemonade, peach, orion orange, optic orange, leg warmer orange, neon orange, tangerine, banana clip yellow, yellow, neon yellow, almond, supersonic yellow, martian green, venus green, lime, neon green, galaxy green, green, mint, argyle green, aqua, jetset jade, emerald, nano blue, turquoise, sapphire, blue ice, neon blue, brilliant blue, surf, techno blue, blue, navy, sky, intergalactic indigo, purple, lilac, metallic gold, metallic bronze, brown, black, dark matter gray, slate gray, celestial gray, metallic silver, purple fluorite, tanzanite, peacock blue, teal tiger's eye, jasper green, amber, cabochon coral, rose quartz, citrine, aquamarine, geode, violet chalcedony, light blue topaz, and lavender mica.

Here is the swatch chart I created for all the Sharpie colors. It can be used to track which Sharpies are in a collection and easily find out which ones are needed. All the Sharpie colors have distinct caps that usually match up with one another. I did find an oddity in the Cosmic Color set. The color caps for magenta and sky do not match up. The ink color is the same.

Click here to get this swatch chart.

To understand all the colors Sharpie offers it is necessary to understand how the release history. Sharpie has long been around for a very long time. It was introduced in 1964 and was touted as a marker that could write on anything. In 1979 new colors were introduced, blue, brown and green. They started to expand their color line up from there. Right now Sharpie is focusing on standard packs of individual colors, 8, 12 and 24 and specialty themed sets that range from 5 markers to 115. They also expanded their tip selections. I have listed where each color comes currently in the information below. In 2003 they started introducing limited editions with unique colors.

The big question is: How does one get all the colors? I wish there was a box where all the colors could be found, but for now a bunch of different packs must be purchased and there will be many duplicates! All the colors can be purchased with by getting the 45 collection, Mystic Gems and the 115 collection, but that is a lot of money. I have the 45 collection and a bunch of others. I am hoping to get my hands on all of them! Some of the colors can be bought open stock too at stores such as Michael's and JoAnn Fabrics. Here is a chart that list what colors come in each box.

There is also no fanfare for releasing new colors or retiring colors. Who knows what colors will disappear this year?

Here are all the packs with what colors are in them. There are specialty sets that come out at the holidays, but I have not listed them because they are usually only available for a short time.

Standard 8

  • Black, Yellow, Purple, Red, Green, Brown, Orange, Blue, Aqua, Berry, Lime, and Turquoise

Standard 12

Specialty Packs and Colors

In 2003 Sharpie started releasing limited edition packs starting with Earth Tones. After that they released Nature Tones, Summer splash, Caribbean, Couleurs CafĂ©, Pastels, 80’s Glam in 2012, Electro Pop and Color Burst. This year they are releasing Mystic Gems in 14 new colors! One of the most confusing things about these sets is they sell them in various sizes and for various tips and the colors can differ. I have tried to list the biggest box size available with the unique colors listed. Sometimes the colors disappear and sometimes they stay around and are put in other boxes or packs. It is a real mystery which ones will Stay or go.

Mystic Gems 24

The Mystic Gems come in 12,  20 and 24 containing other colors mixed in. There are 14 unique colors. The 20 packs have only 5 Mystic Gems. The 12 has all Mystic Gems and the 24 all 14 with 10 other colors included.

  • Red, Cabochon Coral, Orion Orange, Amber, Green, Jasper Green, Teal Tiger's Eye, Peacock Blue, Blue, Tanzanite, Purple Fluorite, Purple, Black, Pink, Rose Quartz, Peach, Citrine, Mint, Geode Green, Aquamarine, Light Blue Topaz, Violet Chalcedony, Lavender Mica, and Celestial Gray

Electro Pop

These are the unique Electro Pop colors.

  • ultra violet, nano blue, optic orange, techno blue, electric pink

Here is what is in the 25 Fine Electro Pop Pack.

  • yellow, lime, slate gray, techno blue, purple, blue, blue ice, electric pink, sky, optic orange, nano blue, brown, boysenberry, pink lemonade, green, peach, black, ultra violet, turquoise, magenta, red, orange, navy, mint, berry

Here is what is in the 34 Ultra Fine Electro Pop pack

  • lilac, jetset jade, electric pink, almond, slate gray, tangerine, red, green, lime, ultra violet, navy, mint, power pink, brown, peach, berry, turquoise, yellow, black, aqua, purple, techno blue, yellow, pink, blue, sky, brilliant blue, optic orange, boysenberry, nano blue, orange, blue ice, racey red, magenta, super sonic yellow

Color Burst

Here are the colors in the Fine and Ultra Fine Color Burst Packs.

Cosmic Colors

Here are the colors in the Fine Cosmic colors pack.

  • boysenberry, magenta, rocket fuel red, jupiter red, solar flare red, red, peach, orange, orion orange, yellow, green, galaxy green, venus green, martian green, aqua, blue, navy, sky, brown, lilac, intergalactic indigo, black, dark matter gray, celestial gray

Here are the colors in the Ultra Fine Cosmic Colors pack. I think it is slightly different including jellie pink instead of magenta and sky blue instead of sky because the caps are different colors.

  • boysenberry, jellie pink, rocket fuel red, jupiter red, solar flare red, red, peach, orange, orion orange, yellow, green, galaxy green, venus green, martian green, aqua, blue, navy, sky blue, brown, lilac, intergalactic indigo, black, dark matter gray, celestial gray
