No. 24 P Crayola Crayons: What's Inside the Box

I was so grateful to get these No. 24 P Crayola crayons from a friend. This box is a 24 set from the 1970's. I love all the color names in this box.  I also like that it comes in a hard case, and is able to protect the crayons from damage.  It is a lot easier to store this way. Crayola packaged their crayons in hard boxes during this time period.

  1. You do an excellent job in picturing in detail all your featured crayon boxes and crayons. I like it! Did you know the "P" in the 24-P stands for "Plastic"?

    1. Thank you Ed. I did know that about the plastic, I guess I didn't write it. :) I have even more pictures of this box and more crayons/other items. There are style numbers on this box on the inner flaps. I'm thinking at the rate I've been going it'll be about 6 months for me to get everything up.

  2. My earliest Crayola memories look like this, I think they went from the "Helvetica" lettering to the sharp version of the block lettering when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, immediately dating everything my brothers and I had up to that point.
